Noel D. Canlas, MD completed Clinical Gastroenterology fellowship in Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. Concomitantly, he also did a research Hepatolgy fellowship under the National Institute of Health (NIH). Prior to this, he trained in Internal Medicine at the Wayne State University in Detroit, MI after doing his Internship in St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines and undergraduate studies in Ateneo de Manila University.
He is married to Alicia R. Canlas, a medical technologist. They have three children. Dr. Judith Canlas, a physiatrist & married to Dr. Nathan Reed; Dr. Karen Canlas, his partner & married to Dr. Brennan Fitzpatrick; Noel II who is in business.

Karen R. Canlas, MD is a fellowship trained and board certified gastroenterologist. She has also completed an additional certified gastroenterology fellowship with specialized training in advanced endoscopy procedures including ERCP and EUS. Dr. Karen Canlas is the daughter of Dr. Noel D. Canlas and Mrs. Alicia R. Canlas of Henderson, KY. She attended Holy Name Grade School in Henderson, KY and graduated from Reitz Memorial High School in Evansville, IN. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Biology from Bellarmine College in Louisville, KY. In 2001, she earned her MD degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Canlas then completed her internal medicine residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. After finishing a year of fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Louisville, she transferred to Duke University in Durham, NC. There, Dr. Canlas completed her general gastroenterology fellowship as well as an additional fellowship in advanced endoscopy and therapeutics.
Upon completion of her training, Dr. Karen Canlas moved back to Henderson, KY with her husband, Dr. C. Brennan Fitzpatrick. They welcomed their first child, Elliott, in October 2009.
Dr. Karen Canlas is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialty of Internal Medicine and the subspecialty of Gastroenterology. She is a member of ACG, ASGE, and KMA. Services offered include: office consultation, outpatient endoscopic procedures (including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and EUS) as well as inpatient consultation and management at Methodist Hospital in Henderson, KY.
Misty has been with Audubon GI Associates since 2005. She obtained her Associates
Degree in Nursing from Henderson Community College in 2001 and her Baccalaureate
Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2005. She is currently enrolled
at the University of Southern Indiana working towards her Masters Degree on the Family
Nurse Practitioner track. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Misty has a special interest in the treatment of Viral Hepatitis.
Lei is currently a volunteer nurse at Audubon GI Associates since January of 2010.
She is a Registered Nurse in the Philippines. She obtained her Degree in Bachelor of
Science in Nursing on 2009 at the University of Perpetual Help in the Philippines.
Also, Lei is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication on 2003 in Assumption
College in Makati City, Philippines. She will work towards her Master's Degree for Nurse
Practitioner.
